Roanoke-Chowan Community College Welcomes
Dr. Elam as New President
Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) is pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees has asked Dr. Michael Elam to assume the position of President of Roanoke-Chowan Community College. He will serve as the 7th president in the history of R-CCC. He will begin his Presidency mid-June.
Dr. Elam is currently serving as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS), LA. Previously, Dr. Elam served as Interim Chancellor for Central Louisiana Technical Community College, LCTCS and SOWELA Technical Community College, LCTCS, LA. Dr. Elam holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Master of Education in Student Personnel and Administration from Howard University, Washington, DC, and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, FL.
