Registering for an Online Class
To register for distance learning courses, individuals must submit an application for admission to Student Services and meet other admission's requirements. Official documentation showing receipt of a high school diploma or GED also must be furnished. The admission's process should begin as early as possible and in advance of the College's semester/term registration period.
Students meeting requirements for admission register on campus for distance learning courses, follow registration procedures as other curricular students, and pay the same tuition.
Students who are out of the area may contact Sandra Copeland, Director of Counseling Services, at sandrac@roanokechowan.edu or 862-1225. Also, Rita Rogers, Director of Distance Learning may be of assistance; contact her at rogersri@roanokechowan.edu or 862-1232.
Tuition, up to 16 credit hours, is $42.00 per credit hour for in-state students and $233.30 per credit hour for out-of-state students. This fee is waived for NC residents 65 years of age or older. Tuition and any other fees that may be required must be paid when registering. VISA and MasterCard are accepted. The costs of textbooks and other instructional materials vary.
