Career and College Promise
Effective January 1, 2012, current high school students may enroll in the Career and College Promise Program which provides seamless dual enrollment educational opportunities for eligible North Carolina high school students to accelerate completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills The Career and College Promise Program provides pathways to earn credits towards a college transfer degree and several vocational tracks preparing students for employment.
College Transfer Pathway
If you are a junior or senior planning to attend a four-year college after high school, this pathway will allow students to complete some of the core general education classes required during the first two years of a four-year degree.

Career and Technical Pathway
If you are a junior or senior in a career cluster program at your high school, this pathway will give you the opportunity to enroll in
Certificate Program that aligns with your high school program.
Career and Technical Programs:
Cooperative Innovative High School (Early College) Pathway
Designed for motivated students looking for a non-traditional high school experience, this pathway allows rising ninth graders the opportunity to earn their high school diplomas and two years of college credit within five years.

How to Apply
- Contact your school counselor about applying for Career & College Promise during your usual course registration time.
- Document eligibility with your school counselor.
- Grade Point Average
- Prerequisites
- Complete Roanoke-Chowan’s College Application located at RCCC- Application page
- Include your Career & College Promise course selections on your high school’s course selection process.
