Roanoke-Chowan Community College is seeking to hire a part-time instructor for Biology/Anatomy, and Physiology. The job entails teaching A&P I and some other biology courses. This position will report to the Division Director of College Transfer and Gen Education Assessment. The position requires a Master’s degree in Biology/Anatomy or Physiology or a related area, or a Master’s degree that includes 18 graduate hours in Biology/Anatomy and Physiology or a related area from a regionally accredited institution. Community College teaching or training experience preferred.

Classes will start on August 12, 2016.

The Instructor shall possess an understanding of and commitment to the nature and role of the Community College, particularly its “open door” policy. S/he shall have demonstrated personal and professional competence for the responsibilities assigned. Willingness to work flexible work schedules including evenings as needed; teach in a diverse mode of traditional instructions; and integrate technology in to the course as appropriate based on demand. Position Advertisement for Nursing Faculty
Full time 9 month position with the A.D.N. program. Responsibilities will include classroom, lab, simulation and clinical areas. Teaching assignments generally include day clinical and/or evening clinical. Theory is delivered with seated, online, and hybrid instruction. Preparation in teaching and learning principles including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation and willingness to seek continuing education as required by the NC Board of Nursing upon employment. This individual will also participate in course and curriculum design, development of student learning outcomes and assessment, serve on college committees, advise and register students, maintain office hours, and fulfill all the duties and responsibilities of instructors as required.

Requirements:
Minimum BSN from a regionally accredited institution with plans to achieve MSN or higher within five years of employment. MSN preferred from a regionally accredited institution.
Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience, and a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina. Preferred Post-secondary teaching experience.
