Executive Administrative Assistant to the President/Executive Director Foundation

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Roanoke-Chowan Community College is currently seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant to the President/Executive Director Foundation.  This position  perform professional administrative support to the President and the Board of Trustees, assist in overseeing the functioning of the President’s Office, provide leadership in Foundation activities for the College, both internally and externally.  Facilitate and expedite action by the President and follow up on matters brought to the President.  Review all communications directed to the President and, where appropriate, either summarize, respond, initiate fact-finding and/or refer the matter to the appropriate college official.  Provide staff support to the College’s Board of Trustees.  Assists in planning and coordinating the solicitation of contributions to the R-CCC Foundations, Inc.; assists the College President, Foundation Board of Directors and/or volunteers in coordinating the solicitation efforts; assists in the planning and coordination of any special or capital fund-raising campaigns

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.  Four years of administrative staff experience.  Excellent writing and oral communication skills.  Ability to work effectively with a wide range of campus and community constituencies, exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations, to maintain confidentiality, and to manifest a demeanor befitting of the Office of the President.  An ability to organize and carry out projects and meetings, knowledge of concepts related to fund-raising, and an understanding of the philosophy and mission of the College
