Congratulations Joshua Hunnicutt!!!
R-CCC’s Student of the Month
The Office of Student Development Services is pleased to announce Joshua Hunnicutt as the October Student of the Month recipient. Joshua serves as the newly elected President of the Student Government Association at Roanoke-Chowan Community College. Joshua is a second year student majoring in Web Technologies. In additional to serving as the College’s SGA president, he is also president of the Asian Media Club and serves as a work-study student in the Library.
Joshua was nominated by two College staff members. Ms. Melanie Gnau, Librarian, nominated Joshua and shared the following comments, “As a work-study student, he has helped to develop the website at a critical time in our library. Weekly, Josh designs eye-pleasing banners for the website to help with the marketing of programs at our school. He also assists with circulation desk duties and various library projects. Josh is pleasant, knowledgeable, and I know I can trust him to help library patrons.”
Dean Monique Mitchell, Dean of Learning Resources Center/Distance Learning, Information Systems, and Assistant Dean of Curriculum noted that Joshua should be recognized as the Student of the Month because of the following characteristics and qualities: trustworthiness, dependability, accessible, professionalism, respectful, serious minded, and always willing to help.”
Joshua comes from a military family and has lived in numerous cities and states. He currently resides in Harrellsville, NC. As SGA President, Joshua would like to be a strong voice for the students of Roanoke-Chowan Community College. After graduation, he plans to transfer to NC State University to obtain a bachelor’s degree.
