AHOSKIE, NC – Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) is currently seeking qualified applicants for a variety of faculty and staff positions, offering opportunities to join a student-centered institution committed to workforce development and academic excellence.

Faculty and instructional positions

R-CCC is prioritizing several instructional and faculty roles to support its academic and workforce training programs.

Key full-time faculty openings include a program coordinator in Business Administration, responsible for delivering instruction, advising students, developing curriculum and leading program growth aligned with workforce needs.

A second critical need is a full-time instructor (program coordinator) in Industrial Systems Technology & Mechatronics, a position that supports training in advanced manufacturing, automation and technical systems. This role plays an essential part in preparing students for high-demand careers in industrial and mechatronics fields while strengthening regional workforce pipelines.

The college is also recruiting for multiple part-time instructional positions within continuing education and workforce development, including:

  • EMT/EMS/Paramedic instructors, supporting public safety and emergency services training programs.
  • Automotive technology instructors, providing hands-on, industry-aligned instruction for high school and adult learners pursuing certifications and careers in automotive service.
  • Additional instructional opportunities in areas such as allied health, carpentry and electrical, depending on program needs and applicant qualifications.

Faculty positions emphasize high-quality teaching, student engagement and collaboration with industry and community partners to support workforce readiness and student success.

Staff and administrative positions

In addition to faculty roles, R-CCC is hiring for key staff positions that support student services and institutional operations.

Current openings include:

  • Financial aid specialist (part-time), responsible for assisting students with federal, state and institutional aid processes, verifying eligibility and maintaining compliance with financial aid regulations.
  • Additional staff and support roles across departments such as workforce development, administrative services and student support, with responsibilities ranging from program coordination to office administration.

These positions play a vital role in ensuring students receive the resources, guidance and services needed to succeed.

R-CCC continues to expand its workforce and continuing education programs, aligning instruction with regional labor market needs and providing pathways to employment for students across northeastern North Carolina. Faculty and staff contribute to a campus environment focused on student achievement, economic development and community engagement.
