Known for its nurturing learning environment and personal attention, R-CCC provides relevant and affordable programs of study to prepare students for transfer and/or entry into the workforce, leading them to contribute to the vitality of an increasingly global community. That’s our mission today. Every day. And, student-centered learning has been our mission since our founding in 1967.

At R-CCC, you can be a part of something incredible! You can build lifelong friendships, develop your talents or discover new ones. Open the doors wide and find your fit at R-CCC.

Nestled in the heart of Hertford County, the College is located outside of the town of Ahoskie—a town that promotes, encourages and supports a high quality of life for all of its citizens. This rural community is anchored in faith, family and its diverse heritage.

With an offering of 20 career-oriented curricular programs, explore our degrees, diplomas and short-term, skills-based certificates that lead to good-paying jobs. Not only do we provide college transfer programs of study, but also business and information technology, public services, health and human services, and manufacturing and industrial technology programs. A lateral entry teacher certificate is meeting the needs of regional public schools, producing fully credentialed educators. And, once you complete studies here, you’ll find transferring into the University of North Carolina System or a private college to be easy and straightforward.

Not only does the College offer in-person learning, but also online and synchronous instruction. Online classes are conducted 100% online and offer convenience and flexibility. Synchronous courses offer instruction at a distance, but in real-time with the instructor and your classmates. It’s the best of both worlds!

Hertford County High School Early College students and students from other schools take advantage of earning college credits while still in high school. That saves money and gets you ahead faster.

Our Continuing Education & Workforce Development Division meets the needs of area business and industry partners by creating basic and occupational related classes within local industries as well as developing focused training opportunities. Our Small Business Center works one-on-one with individuals and small companies to start or enhance small business enterprises. Plus, the Hertford County JobLink Career Center is right on the R-CCC campus.

We look forward to working with you to meet your personal and professional goals. Feel free to stop by and tour our campus at 109 Community College Road in Ahoskie or take a look at the rest of our site. We are sure you will find your fit at Roanoke-Chowan Community College!
