Welcome to Roanoke-Chowan Community College

At Roanoke-Chowan Community College, we believe everyone deserves access to education. Our open-door admissions policy means you can apply to attend the College at any time during the academic year. We provide a variety of educational programs to meet your needs and help you achieve your goals.
 

How to Apply

Applying to R-CCC is easy. Simply click the "Apply" button below, and you'll be redirected to the College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) website. From there, click the "Apply to College" link at the top of the page, and we'll receive your application information through the CFNC application hub.

Follow the steps below based on your student profile.

New Student

A new student is an individual who has never attended Roanoke-Chowan Community College. Please complete the following items for admission:

  • Complete the NC Residency Application and Application for Admission.
  • Submit official copies of all high school and college transcripts.
  • Visit Financial Aid for more information and how to apply. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information: (252) 862-1200
  • Schedule, prepare for, and complete the Placement Test, if required.
  • Schedule an appointment for Advising and Registration.

Returning Student

A returning student who has been continuously enrolled does not need to re-apply, however, please contact an advisor to register for classes.

A returning student who is returning to school after an absence of two years or more should complete the following items for admission:

  • Complete the NC Residency Application and Application for Admission.
  • Submit official copies of all high school and college transcripts.
  • Visit Financial Aid for more information and how to apply. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information: (252) 862-1200
  • Schedule, prepare for, and complete the Placement Test, if required.
  • Schedule an appointment for Advising and Registration.

International Student

Be sure to complete the following items for admission:

  • Complete the NC Residency Application and Application for Admission.
  • Submit official copies of all high school and college transcripts.
  • Visit Financial Aid for more information and how to apply. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information: (252) 862-1200.
  • Schedule, prepare for, and complete the Placement Test, if required.
  • Schedule an appointment for Advising and Registration.

Special Credit/Visiting Student

A Special Credit/Visiting student is a student who is currently enrolled at another institution and wants to take courses at R-CCC to transfer back to his/her home institution or a​student who needs to take a few pre-requisite courses to enter a program at another college or university. Complete the following items for admission:

  • Complete the NC Residency Application and Application for Admission.
  • Submit an official transcript from the credit-awarding college/university to record that prerequisites have been met.
  • Financial Aid may be available and would need to be coordinated between R-CCC and the current institution. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information: (252) 862-1200

Transfer Student

A transfer student is an individual who has attended another college or university and is seeking a degree, diploma, or certificate at R-CCC. Be sure to complete the following items for admission:
