R-CCC Nursing Program Now Accepting Applications for Fall 2026

R-CCC Nursing Program Now Accepting Applications for Fall 2026
AHOSKIE, NC –Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) is now accepting applications for its Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program for the Fall 2026 semester. Early admissions are open through Jan. 1, 2026, with the regular admissions deadline set for March 1, 2026.
The nursing field continues to offer strong career prospects, with starting salaries for registered nurses in North Carolina averaging $35 per hour, or approximately $65,000 annually. RNs are in high demand across a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, schools, specialty clinics, correctional institutions and home health agencies. In 2024, R-CCC’s ADN graduates achieved a 100% employment rate.
Kim White, director of nursing, emphasized the importance of applying early.
“Nursing isn’t just what we do; it’s a lifelong journey of compassion, caring and service. Our program empowers students with the knowledge, skills and compassion they need to thrive in today’s healthcare environment. We are deeply proud of all that our graduates have accomplished, and we are excited to welcome the next class of future nurses as they begin their own journey of caring and service,” White said.
Graduates of the ADN program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), a requirement for becoming a licensed registered nurse. The NCLEX is designed to assess the competencies needed for safe and effective entry-level nursing practice.
Dr. Murray J. Williams, president of R-CCC, encouraged prospective students to consider the program as a pathway to a rewarding career.
“Our ADN program offers a rigorous and supportive learning environment that empowers students to thrive in the nursing profession,” Williams said. “We are committed to helping our students succeed, both academically and professionally. If you’re passionate about healthcare and ready to make a difference, now is the time to take that first step.”
Application packets, including the ADN application and required health forms, must be submitted to Jennifer Johnson by March 1, 2026. Materials may be delivered in person, emailed or mailed.
