R-CCC Welcomes Six Interns for 2025 Summer Internship Program

 

 

AHOSKIE, NC –Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) is proud to welcome six dynamic college interns to campus for the 2025 Summer Internship Program. These bright young professionals will gain hands-on experience while contributing to key departments across the institution.
 
This summer’s interns include:
 

  • Christian Brown, Jordan Cumbo and Diamond Reynolds, working in Information Technology
  • Amarion Watford, assisting in Academic Affairs
  • Eriyannah Taylor, interning with College & Career Readiness
  • Cameron Moore, supporting the Purchasing Department

 
Each intern brings a unique background and perspective to their role.
 
Taylor, a Murfreesboro resident and Justice Studies major at Winston-Salem State University, shared her enthusiasm for making a difference, “I like helping people get their GEDs.”
 
Watford, from Ahoskie and a Sociology major at East Carolina University, praised the collaborative environment, “The ability to learn and the people working with me—they’re so nice and amazing in helping you with knowledge that you need. It’s a team effort.”
 
Brown, also from Ahoskie and preparing to transfer to Elizabeth City State University to study Psychology, noted, “I like the opportunities to give and the new stuff you learn day to day.”
 
Cumbo, a Murfreesboro native and Religious Studies major at Virginia Union University, expressed appreciation for the learning experience, “I like that I get to broaden my knowledge and skills.”
 
Reynolds, a Chowan University student majoring in General Studies – Cybersecurity, who also hails from Murfreesboro, enjoys the technical aspect of her role, “I really like working with the computer systems.”
 
Moore, an ECU student majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, said, “I love the teachers, faculty and the easy-going environment. I like learning about how the inner workings of finances are documented.” Moore’s hometown is Ahoskie.
 
The R-CCC Summer Internship Program offers students an invaluable opportunity to explore careers in higher education, build professional networks and develop workplace skills. Participants gain firsthand insight into college operations while receiving mentorship and support in their assigned areas.
 
To qualify, applicants must be recent high school graduates or currently enrolled undergraduate students, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and complete a background check.
