Roanoke-Chowan Community College to Host Annual Health Fair Oct. 7
AHOSKIE, NC –Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) will host its Annual Health Fair & Mental Health Awareness Day on Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Services Center Multipurpose Room. The event is free and open to the public.
Organized by the Office of Student Affairs, the Health Fair is a celebration of wellness and a showcase of resources aimed at supporting healthy living across the campus and surrounding community. Attendees will have access to free health screenings, mental health resources, nutrition information and giveaways.
“This event is all about empowering our students and neighbors to take charge of their health,” said Amy Wiggins, curriculum registrar and the event’s organizer. “We’re excited to welcome a wide range of vendors and encourage everyone to stop by, explore and connect with services that support lifelong wellness.”
Participating organizations include Albemarle Regional Health Services, Bridge of Hope Life Transformational Services, CADA, ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital and Wellness Center, ECU School of Dental Medicine, Integrated Family Services PLLC, Roanoke-Chowan Community Health Center, Trillium Health Resources, United Healthcare and many others.
R-CCC President Dr. Murray J. Williams emphasized the college’s commitment to community engagement, “Our Health Fair reflects the college’s mission to serve not only our students but the broader community. We invite everyone to join us for a day of learning, connection and health-focused inspiration.”
