Do you enjoy helping others and want to make a difference in your community? The Human Services Technology (HST) program is a great place to start a meaningful career supporting individuals and families in need.

This program prepares you for entry-level jobs in social services, education, community support, and more. You’ll take a mix of core human services courses along with classes from other fields like psychology, sociology, and communication to give you a well-rounded foundation.

You'll learn how to:
  • Understand and support people from all backgrounds
  • Communicate effectively in professional and community settings
  • Apply practical skills to real-world situations through hands-on fieldwork experience
  • Build the knowledge and attitude needed to work in caring, supportive roles
Graduates are prepared for careers in:
  • Mental health services
  • Childcare and family support
  • Social services and rehabilitation
  • Correctional programs and educational agencies
And if you want to keep going, this program can be a steppingstone to a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college or university.

Whether you’re fresh out of high school, changing careers, or looking to grow in a helping profession, HST can open the door to a rewarding future where your work truly matters.
