R-CCC Offers Free Welding Classes Starting Oct. 13

 

AHOSKIE, NC Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) is igniting career opportunities with free welding classes beginning Oct. 13 through its Workforce and Continuing Education Department.

The college will offer both day and night classes at no cost to students. The day class will meet Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The night class will meet Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. All classes will be held on the college’s main campus.

“These classes are a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain hands-on training and enter a high-demand field,” said R-CCC VP of Workforce & Institutional Advancement Steven Mathews. “Students can launch a new career in just a few months — and it’s completely free.”

Participants will receive instruction from industry professionals and learn essential welding skills that are in demand across multiple sectors.

Williams, president of Roanoke-Chowan Community College. “This program reflects our commitment to workforce development and to helping individuals build brighter futures through education and opportunity.”

Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested individuals are encouraged to register early to secure a spot.
