Office of Institutional Research and Planning
The Office of Institutional Research and Planning strives to enhance the efficiency of the college through appropriate planning, research, evaluation, and reporting to ensure continuous improvement of educational programs and administrative & educational support services.
The Office of Institutional Research and Planning provides leadership that encourages campus-wide participation in the planning and assessment activities that lead to continuous improvement. The IRP monitors accreditation compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and fulfillment of the educational mission of North Carolina Community College System.
The IRP Office administers institutional surveys for assessment purposes, monitors reporting for data quality, coordinates the program review process, monitors performance measures to ensure educational goals are met, and provides institutional research support to all departments.
The Director of Institutional Research and Planning facilitates the incorporation of assessment, planning, and institutional research to evaluate and enhance all academic programs and services. The Director is designated as the college’s data coordinator and the IPEDS key holder.
