Goals and Objectives: The Workforce Development objective and goals provide support for economic and workforce development through services to business and industry as a result of offering superior educational training and retraining to the citizens within the College’s service area. These areas of training include basic skills and literacy education, occupational, and pre-baccalaureate programs.
- Expand the strengthen community, workforce, and employer relationships.
Include local and regional businesses and industries in identifying economic and workforce development needs.
- Develop and expand course offerings based on the needs of our local/regional community, workforce, and employers.
- Create a campus environment that establishes a sense of ownership and responsibility among all staff and faculty in relation to workforce development.
- Encourage faculty and staff to establish internal partnerships and collaborations which enhances workforce development locally and regionally and reward such actions.
Workforce Development is training and basic education for adults, regardless of their previous education. Whether students want to develop or enhance skills for a career, keep current in their field, or just learn for the pleasure of personal enrichment, continuing education has something to offer.
